The animation process of every project we work on is different, however they all have the same underlying animation process in place. If you're new to animation these steps will give you a quick overview of our methodology in ensuring you get a video that meet your goals!

We send you a detailed creative brief for you to fill. It encompasses details like the video’s purpose, product features/benefits/story you wish to convey, target audience, budget requirements, deadline etc. Later, through a call or a meeting, we get a more in-depth understanding of your project.

Step 2 - SCRIPTING (1st sign off)

Whether you are adept at writing your own script or require our help and collaboration to form your story, you’ll always have the opportunity to steer, amend and finally sign off your script.

This is the 1st major sign off point of the project as only once the script is signed off will we move ahead with the voice over recording.

Working in accordance with your brand guidelines and from our brief we create a number of key frames so you can see exactly how the video will look - these are sketched storyboard frames, character design, environment design, illustrations, text and icons. This part of the animation process is time-consuming and requires creativity. We leave our designers undisturbed to get the best results. We believe this will give you the best understanding of how the animation will look and what it will include.

This marks the 2nd sign off point of the project.

Step 4 - VOICE OVER RECORDING (3rd sign off)

We can help you find the ideal voice to match your brand and budget - if you already have your own voice over artist we're happy to accommodate this.

Step 5 - ANIMATIC (4th sign off)

We create a rough draft of your animation showing you how the flow of scenes would look like and define the timing for your animation. This gives you an opportunity to feedback and suggest changes before a single frame is animated and ensures that the animation’s budget is kept as low as possible whilst ensuring it achieves everything you need it to.

With the script, storyboard, V.O and animatic signed off it's time to start animating. Animation is not a quick process and this step may take several weeks to complete depending on the length of the voice over and the story, so patience is key.

Finally, it’s time to set the mood of the video, and we do that by adding the perfect soundtrack. There are two ways you can go about this. If your budget is high, we hire a music composer to create an original score. Alternatively, we choose the best licensed and royalty-free soundtrack from reliable sources.

Step 8 - AUDIO MIX

Any relevant sound effects are now added and the soundtrack mixed in.

The animated video is exported based on your technical requirements and delivered to you! We can now relax and have a cup of tea!

Well, that’s about our animation process. Pretty simple in theory, but involves a lot of time and creativity.
